About Us

Chapman Family Rentals is perfectly described in its name.  A locally owned, family run business founded in 1983 by Bonnie Chapman and its subsequent expansion supported by the generations that have followed.  This family owned business provides quality housing for off campus residents of the University of Maine at Farmington community, located in the beautiful Western Mountains of Maine. 
 

The daily operations and all services are provided solely by this family entity.  Bonnie continues to be at the helm of the daily operations, she works closely with her son and his crew on maintenance, apartment upkeep, snow removal, and major construction projects.  Son, William Lovejoy provides plowing and handles all the major construction projects.  Daughter in law, Melissa will most likely be one of your first connections to the organization, when she takes you on your tour of the buildings and helps find the perfect apartment for you.  Daughter, Renee Whitley manages the financial aspect of the business.

 Pulling up the rear, is our support staff of the family owned business, the grandchildren:

•  Drew, an UMF alumni, currently working as a 7th grade math teacher at Mt. Blue Middle School, supports the company by performing yard maintenance.
  
• Rileigh, an UMF alumna working in Farmington at the Children's Task Force, is our website designer and apartment recruiter.
  
• Harley, is a hardworking chef, currently employed at UMF working for Sodexo. You may see her in the cafeteria! 
  
• Kain, a hardworking young man, helps with lawn maintenance and alongside his father in apartment renovations.
